We have been producing explainer videos in Silicon Valley for decades, long before the term became popular.
Explainer videos are short videos used to explain your company’s product or service. They are often placed on the landing page of your website, or a prominent product page, or used in powerpoints and have become extremely valuable for marketing. The conversion rates on websites can be greatly enhanced by including them on a prominent page. There’s no arguing that online explainer videos are a fantastic asset for a business.
Below is an example of an explainer we did for a local software firm. This one received a Telly award.
Here are the general steps we take to explain your concept with video.
Step 1: Initial Meeting
The best place to start is with a meeting, either in person at our studios, your office, or via screen share. This is the best way to approach a fluid discovery session where we really get to know the goals of the production, and allow us to prepare a proper quote.
Step 2: Script
The script is the most important element in creating a good explainer video. Your explainer video could have the coolest graphics and the most cinematic videography and it wouldn’t mean a thing without a solid script. We work with you to develop a production-ready document.
Step 3: Voiceover
We present selections from our talented pool of voice artists. Then, we record the voice bed in our fabulous voice room.
Step 4: Explainer Video Production
There are a number of different approaches to the creation and production of your explainer video. Depending on the situation we may suggest animation, video, or a combination of both. Storyboards are usually produced and concepts are presented.
Step 4: Music, Sound Effects and post production
Typically explainer videos call for sound effects and a music bed. These elements are tastefully added and presented during post production.
